It has been an exceptionally busy time for us with an unprecedented number of weddings so far this year. Each one has been unique and we really enjoyed meeting couples and playing music from our Repertoire List during the Open Day in March at Birtsmorton Court. As well as the regular venues we play at, we have had the pleasure of travelling to other areas both local to us in Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire as well as further afield. Road trips have taken us to Oxford Botanical Gardens, Iscoyd Park, Foxtail Barns and many other wonderful places.

At our most visited venue and where we are Preferred Suppliers Manor by the Lake in Cheltenham, we have enjoyed a variety of ceremonies and drinks receptions, both indoors and outside in the beautiful grounds. During the recent heatwaves we have found ways of keeping cool, with portable fans, sun hats and finding shade under trees. At other venues we have enjoyed playing near water and these have included Waters Edge at Ewen, The Swan at Bibury and Barns and Yard at Hanley Swan, Malvern.

We have had the pleasure of playing in Hereford Cathedral for a Graduation Ceremony for NMITE, a recently founded university focusing on engineering. We are looking forward to playing for a Graduation Lunch at Warwick University in early September. These are wonderful occasions and it is always interesting to hear of the many achievements of all the students graduating.

The quartet has also been invited to play for smaller events, such as birthday parties and formal dinners and we love being a part of them! One such memorable occasion was an intimate celebrant led wedding at Thornbury Castle where there were no guests. We felt a privileged to be there for witness such a moving ceremony as well as the period afterwards whilst the photos were being taken in the beautiful library there.
