Over the past month, Capriccio Quartet has had the pleasure of performing at some of Worcestershire’s most stunning venues, providing the perfect soundtrack to summer weddings. The beautiful gardens have served as a delightful backdrop to our music, and we’ve been fortunate with the weather, allowing us to play outdoors and fully enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Summer weddings hold a special place in our hearts. There’s something magical about being surrounded by nature while creating music that complements the joy and love of the day. It’s always exciting to see the creative ideas our couples bring to life, utilising the unique spaces that summer gardens offer. Whether it’s a serene spot for the ceremony, a lively area for the reception, or a cosy corner for evening celebrations, each garden space can help set the tone for an unforgettable event.

For those planning an outdoor summer wedding, it’s essential to consider the various garden spaces available and how best to use them. We’ve found that a mix of indoor and outdoor settings often works well, especially given the unpredictability of British weather. But rest assured, come rain or shine, Capriccio Quartet is well-prepared. With years of experience performing at outdoor weddings from June to September, we’ve faced all kinds of weather and have developed strategies to ensure our music remains uninterrupted by the elements.

One of our recent performances was particularly memorable, as it featured a white bouncy castle in the garden — an unexpected and fun addition! We even managed to snap a photo on it, though we refrained from too much bouncing to keep our instruments safe!

Another highlight was playing in the historic chapel at Francis Close Hall, Cheltenham University. This beautiful space has long been a cherished venue for both current and former students and staff to tie the knot. Following the ceremony, we continued the celebrations at Manor by the Lake, a venue we always enjoy for its picturesque setting. Moving between multiple venues in one day is something we’re very comfortable with, ensuring the music flows seamlessly from one location to the next.

As we look ahead, we’re excited to continue sharing the love at many more weddings throughout August, one of the busiest months for weddings. If you’re getting married this month, we wish you all the best on your special day and a lifetime of happiness.
