  • International Wedding Award

July wedding music bookings & award

This month has been incredibly busy for the quartet with a record number of weddings, many of which had been postponed at least once during the past 16 months. We are so grateful to our couples for keeping our bookings with them and we understand how difficult and stressful it must have been to have to rearrange their dates. We have had the pleasure of playing for three lovely church wedding services in Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire [...]

Filming on Chase End Hill

We had the pleasure of taking part in a promo film organised by the excellent team from Conteur who had already filmed us playing “Chandelier” at Birtsmorton Court in May. They decided that the film could be concluded at the top of Chase End Hill and the climb up there was most certainly worth it for the amazing sunset that evening! We’re very excited to see the results in due course. [...]

June wedding music bookings

Our first booking for wedding music this month was at the beautiful St Michael and All Angels in the picturesque Herefordshire village of Bodenham. This was the first church wedding we played at since March 2020 and the service was very moving indeed, in spite of the absence of sung hymns. The next day found us at Barns & Yard, the most lovely wedding venue at Hanley Swan just outside of Malvern to play [...]

  • Capriccio String Quartet filming

Promotional film

We ended the month of May with a very special day at Birtsmorton Court with Counteur UK, a wonderful company who are making a promotion film for us. They filmed us by the picturesque moat and inside the historic Great Hall, to a soundtrack of Helen Marple-Horvat’s amazing arrangement of “Chandelier”. It’s an exciting project which will be completed with further filming on the Malvern Hills - watch this space!

  • String Quartet weddings May 2021

May Weddings

We played outside for our first ceremony and drinks reception since lockdown, in the beautiful grounds of Glenfall House on May 1st. Numbers were still restricted to only 15 guests at this time, but it created a lovely intimate atmosphere for Ian and Nikki’s special day. Capriccio Quartet had the pleasure of playing for four weddings during May  at Manor by the Lake, a lovely venue on the edge of Cheltenham where we perform often and where [...]

Playing at Shropshire Countryside by a lake

As Covid-19 restrictions have started to ease to allow small weddings to take place, we recently enjoyed playing for a lovely reception in the Shropshire countryside by a lake with amazing views. It felt so good to be back playing together for the first time for over five months and to be doing what we really love doing.

Regional Finals Winners

We are thrilled to have won the regional finals in our category for the Wedding Business Awards. We are so excited to now be national finalists and await further news. It has been such a tough time for all the wonderful events and weddings we had planned and we have missed playing together so much. Lynette has been working hard to rebook postponed dates, together with new dates. In August we will be playing for the first time since March [...]
